Gillian knew the answer but still asked.
“What is it?”
His face was white, like the skull mandible he held. David answered her, in a hushed tone.
“It’s definitely alien. Just like me.”

Here’s a ripping rock tune from Band of Skulls, I Know What I am. It’s sets a tone and sounds great. Play it at skull crushing level.

Um, how do you do it? I’m so impressed that you can write awesome for a prompt and then trump it with a song that fits with the prompt. Good. Damn. Job.
deb, if wordplay and music knowledge could cure cancer, then I’m be worth something to society…instead, I blog.
thank you
Nice.
nice?
Heres another idea to tuck away for later. This was fabulous, Lance!
thanks mama
Love your response and the song… perfect fit!
thank you very much
Okay, great job on the prompt, Mulder. But in truth, what really cracked me up was your response @Cameron. …still laughing…
hahaha…i’m still laughing too and thank you
Oh that’s fun!!!
That was indeed a nice wrap on the prompt.

Thanks for linking up to this weekend’s Trifecta Challenge. I think you’re our only alien this week.
Your response is tight–a good balance between dialogue and description. And creepy, too. All that in 33 words. #Nice. Hope to see you back on Monday for the weekday challenge.
I like the play on colors: G is pale like the skull. I can feel David’s sense of loneliness here – and fear – is he next?
I like the way we’re left wondering if he’s paranoid and a little nuts or really an alien!
thanks for “getting” that…definitely what I was aiming for.
