She hangs out under the mantle as photos of our relationship’s core sit, above. Seeing her grow, radiate, and wonder is like watching pie crust in an oven. But her taste is sweeter.

  2. What a sweet post, and so honest. I think I’ve said it before, but as much as I like your fiction, I do so love it when you write about your life and your family. Each word rings with heartfelt truth. Oh, and this is probably one of my favorite songs ever. Every time I hear it, I tear up. (OK, so I’m a sap…)
