Thank you for the varied responses to last week’s 100 word song. Leeroy was over the moon with being impressed with where ya’ll took Rene aka Not The Rockefellers “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards”. The psychological takes were my favorite. I love writing with you bunch of weirdos. I hope Carrie gives us more Rachel.
My brother in musical arms, really my tune twin, t, aka Troy,http://aslongasimsinging.wordpress.com/ yelled at me for not acknowledging the Thin White Duke, David Bowie’s 66th birthday two weeks ago, on 100 word song. I did it on the twitter, the book o face, and I even mentioned in a couple of work emails with people but t is right. I should have made Bowie the 100 word song. So, t got together with Leeroy and corrected the problem. This week’s selection is David Bowie’s second cut off of one of my top ten favorite albums, Ziggy Stardust.
For my 100 we go back to Jake’s kitchen where his sister-in-law Augusta is meeting Mallory in my short story Soul To Body.
Jake stepped in front of Mallory’s attempted handshake. Augusta blew blonde strands away from her face and crossed her arms. The women stared at each other in awkward silence. Augusta spoke through clenched teeth.
“Yeah, I’m his sister-in-law. We’re very close. Although it was my niece who told me about you.”
Jake pulled Augusta away.
“Gus, I’m sorry.”
She put up her right hand. Jake understood.
“Camille’s been dead three months. She was your soul mate, your love. But if you’re going to screw someone already, use her place. Your other love, Vi, knows. I’ll let her kick your ass. Goodbye.”
As always you have 7 days from NOW, to write 100 words inspired by David Bowie’s Soul Love. Make sure to lunk up to the mr. linky below the video. Tella friend or 50.

To be fair, it was much more a “robust and heated suggestion,” than it was yelling.
Nice take on one of my favorite all time Bowie songs, tune twin =)
awesome….mine was stretch. can’t wait to see what you do
I hope you’ll be pleased…
Really? That’s it? No chick fight? Let me at her and I will take care of the wench!
this scene isn;’t close to over
I got yer back Dbo, but (looks up one side of Mallory and back down the other) you probably won’t need the assistance
My thoughts exactly! Hehe.
Will do my best, but Bowie is a hard act to follow…
I love the song choice. Not sure if I’m using Mr. Linky correctly. I don’t think I used it last week? Oops…. Great pick up from last weeks post! Here’s mine: http://myconstantthought.blogspot.com/2013/01/100-word-song-addicting-love.html
Oh yeah, get him Gus!
A song is worth a 100 words. I like this idea.

I’m with Deana, I was wanting to see a knock-down-drag-out cat fight. I think Gus could take her. Righteous indignation is a powerful weapon.

LOVE Deana’s response as I was feeling the same. It’s gettin’ hot in here!
It’s getting a bit uncomfortable there for Jake. He likes living life dangerously doesn’t he? Finally got my submission in for this weeks song. Hope you’re not disappointed.
Interesting corner Jake has himself in. Hmmm.
