Where Is My Mind?

“One minute was enough”, Tyler said, “A person had to work hard for it, but a minute of perfection was worth the effort. A moment was the most you could expect from perfection.”

*****blogger’s Note*****

This is a book that truly changed my life. For this week’s 33 word challenge from Trifecta Writing, I give you 33 words from the club we’re not supposed to talk about. http://www.trifectawritingchallenge.com/

Here’s The Pixies, from the movie’s soundtrack and the author (Chuck Palahniuk)’s CD collection with Where Is My Mind? -

  1. I remember reading your fiction on Write on Edge…? I am glad to find you again. Your writing while not always my cup of tea, is always thought provoking.

    • hello again! I’ve heard that before. what’s not your cup of tea? the dark stuff? the music obsession? the weirdness? I enjoy your work…headed over now

    • It’s fathful in terms of ideas, tone, and darkness. Obviously, they leave many sections out to make a 2 hour movie. I saw the movie first, then read the book five years later, while going thru a tough time. It’s amazing.

  2. I just read your “About Lance” as I was scrolling down to leave a comment about your 33 words and I loved it. I find that whenever I leave a comment, it rarely conveys well the feelings that some things evoke but I hope the following does: I thought that short paragraph about you made me want to know you and didn’t feel like so many that I read and for the longest time, what some of the stuff I said about myself felt like. I was drawn to it and thought it was honest and I just really liked it. I know, I’m a nerd who fumbles with words but I just wanted to say it :) .

  3. I really do need to read this book. I am the only adult in my family who has not read it. All are extreme Chuck Palahniuk fans and all have read every one of his books.
