Helene rubbed her pounding temples then moved her fingertips over her head’s crown. She absorbed the loft’s quiet and stared at the tether between her guitar and amplifier. Then, she hit a chord.
I’ve been working all weekend with my work in progress, Woman Of Troy, the sequel to my first book, The Ballad of Helene Troy. When Trifecta Writing Challenge asked for 33 words using the words Tether, Loft, and Crown, I realized I had a couple of sentences with two of those words so I made some adjustments.
You can find The Ballad of Helene Troy, as well, as my second book, Soul To Body, digitally, on amazon.com where it’s garnering 5 star reviews, or get it in paperback from Lulu.com. Follow @helene_troy on the Twitter for updates and stuff that may not make the books.
For today’s song I went with something Helene would listen to, play, and love. Here’s The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Date With The Night from their Fever To Tell album, which is fantastic.
